As a regulatory agency, the Alcohol Gaming Commission of Ontario is involved in numerous on-site field inspections of Resort and Charity Casinos as well as Racetrack Slot facilities. We needed an audit management tool that would enable our inspectors to conduct their inspections in a consistent and efficient manner on the go and in the field.
In 2005, we began our search for a commercial off -the-shelf solution that would enable inspectors to conduct their inspections in the field, while still being able to access many of the reference materials required (such as the Gaming Control Act, Regulations and Procedures) while on the gaming floor, conducting their inspections. We wanted a solution that would be cost effective and that could be implemented in a short period of time.
We have been using the Compliance Checkpoint solution for the past 10 years. We most recently upgraded to the mobile version, providing a key benefit for field staff, making it more effective for conducting inspections. In September 2015, we will be extending this functionality to our Electronic Gaming Inspectors.
We are also looking at extending access to the software to our external stakeholders to enable them to notify the AGCO of incidents of various kinds and to track the status of their notifications.
In spite of our widespread geography, thanks to the positive and ongoing relationship with Compliance Experts, we are able to conduct business in an efficient and timely way.
